Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Salonsphere mobile apps and website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("terms") are a legal agreement between you and NextHome Labs ("Salonsphere", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of the Salonsphere apps and salonsphere.app. By downloading the app, creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Salonsphere.

2. About Salonsphere

Salonsphere is a marketplace that connects customers with independent salons and beauty professionals ("Providers"). Providers are independent businesses — they are not our employees or agents, and they are solely responsible for the services they deliver, including their quality, safety and legality. We provide the platform: discovery, booking, chat, payments and reviews.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, book services or register as a Provider.
  • You must be able to enter into a binding contract with us and not be barred from using the service under applicable law.
  • You must provide accurate, current information about yourself and keep it up to date.

4. Your account

  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account.
  • Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • One person, one account: do not create accounts for others or share your account with anyone else.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, abuse the platform, or create risk for other users.

5. Bookings and cancellations

  • Booking requests are confirmed by the Provider. Availability, prices, durations and service descriptions are set by Providers.
  • You can reschedule or cancel from the app, subject to the cancellation window shown at checkout.
  • Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in line with the policy shown before you confirm a booking.
  • If a Provider cancels or fails to deliver, you will be offered a reschedule or a refund.
  • If you arrive late, the Provider may shorten or reschedule the appointment; repeated late arrivals may lead to additional charges.

6. Payments, fees and refunds

  • Payments are processed by our payment provider (Pesapal) using Mobile Money or cards. We never store your full payment credentials.
  • Prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout and include applicable provider charges. Platform fees, where they apply, are disclosed before payment.
  • Refunds are returned to your original payment method within the timeframe of the payment provider, after we verify the transaction with the Provider.
  • Gift cards and memberships are subject to the terms shown at purchase and may have validity periods.
  • You agree not to make or accept payments outside the platform for services arranged through Salonsphere. Off-platform payments are not protected by our support and refund processes.

7. For Providers

  • Providers must hold any licences, permits or qualifications required for their services, keep their calendars accurate, and treat clients professionally and safely.
  • Providers are responsible for the prices, descriptions, photos and availability they publish, and for complying with applicable consumer protection, tax and hygiene laws.
  • Payouts are processed according to the schedule and fees agreed when you register your business.
  • We may remove content or suspend listings that are misleading, unsafe, or in breach of these terms.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Salonsphere for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful;
  • harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users or Providers;
  • post fake reviews, spam, or content you do not have the right to share;
  • scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or its security;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or business;
  • use the service to arrange off-platform payments to avoid fees or protections.

9. Reviews and content

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences with a Provider. We may moderate, hide or remove content that is fake, abusive, misleading or unlawful. You keep ownership of the content you upload (for example review photos). By uploading it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display it for the operation and promotion of the service. The Salonsphere name, logo, apps and website content are our property or that of our licensors and may not be used without permission.

10. App stores

If you downloaded the app from Google Play (or another app store), your use is also subject to that store's terms. These terms are between you and us, not the store operator. The store operator is not responsible for the app or its content, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms.

11. Service availability and changes

We work to keep Salonsphere available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, add or remove features, and we may suspend the service occasionally for maintenance. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data and delete your account.

12. Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to keep Salonsphere safe, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of services provided by Providers, and, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid through Salonsphere for the booking giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law, or our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Salonsphere at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we must do so to comply with the law or protect other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example payments owed, content licences and liability limits) will continue to apply.

14. Complaints and disputes

If you have a problem with a booking or a Provider, contact us first at [email protected] — we will try to resolve it fairly and promptly. If we cannot resolve it, the dispute provisions in section 15 apply.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country provides otherwise.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, where changes are significant, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Salonsphere after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and delete your account.
